The downstairs is filled with to-go food options, a well-stocked adult beverage room (always willing to share some free samples with its visitors), a coffee room, a tea room...that allows you to pack your own tea in beautiful tins, a pastry room (the petit fours are almost too pretty to eat...almost), a chocolate room, a fish vendor, a butcher, and more. I originally didn't like schnitzel, but after trying Alois Dallmayr's schnitzel, I 100% changed my mind. Inside Alois Dallmayr beside that, you can also find food in the packages and different kind of coffee, which you can carry it back home or just gifts for you friends and family. I imagine if you are a local you get to know what is good or bad about this place. He welcomes guests at the entrance: the porcelain parrot from the Nymphenburg Manufactory.

Here, classic bistro cuisine is created for the guests with the characteristic Dallmayr flair. The Bar & Grill is tucked into the corner of the Dallmayr Delicatessen. I think of this location more as a local supermarket than a shopping experience. The German Imperial Court and 14 other European princely and royal families also ordered from the Munich-based delicatessen specialist.

Of all the shops in Munich,  my wife wanted to come back here. The view of the towers of Munich’s Frauenkirche is legendary and the menu offers a variety of light bistro cuisine to Dallmayr standards, as well as a fine patisserie menu and, of course, our own coffee and tea specialities.

They are the largest delicatessen business in Europe, and one of the best-known German coffee brands. Around 1900 Dallmayr receives the title of a royal Bavarian court supplier. You wouldn't do your grocery shopping here, but if you need something special, or are looking for a gift, this might just be the place for you.

It's not as big as Harrods in London, but still enjoyed my visit very much. I think foodies and home cooks in Dallmayr are like kids in a candy store. I wish there is something similar in the US. I assume these four entries all refer to the main Dallmayr food hall, but it's not clear whether each one refers to a specific and separate portion (deli vs. bakery vs. café). This is my favorite delicatessen shop in Munich.

We are closed on Sundays and public holidays (Bavaria). Part food hall, part restaurant/tea room. We were here over thirty years ago and I don't see that much has changed. Here too, it is the attention to detail which gives Café-Bistro Dallmayr its special flair: the top-quality porcelain wall lights made to order for Dallmayr by the Nymphenburg Manufactory. The kitchen is the realm of the head chef Elisabeth Gassner and her five-person team. Owing to statutory regulations dogs are not permitted in our premises. Would I go here again?

We got there around 5, and by the time we left, they looked like they were about to close.
