If you live in one of these towns, you'll get to see the amazing displaySign up to our newsletter for daily updates and breaking newsThe Red Arrows will be painting our skies red, blue and white this morning as they mark VE Day celebrations.The famous Royal Air Force will be travelling through Essex today, (Friday, May 8), as part of the commemorations for the 75th anniversary of the end of WW2.It was on May 8, 1945, exactly 75 years ago today, that Britain and its Allies celebrated the defeat of the Nazi regime after Germany signed its unconditional surrender on May 7.Although we may not be able to celebrate in true street party style, as Churchill declared on May 8 all those years ago - we will certainly be doing our best to enjoy the day as much as possible.Including, of course, the Royal Air Force Red Arrows display.The Red Arrows will take off just after 9.30am in the east of Lincoln, before heading eastwards, over the sea and through Thetford before heading to Essex.The first town to get a glimpse of the famous red, blue and white streaks in the air will likely be Colchester, just moments after 10am.They will continue on downwards over Marks Tey, Tiptree, Witham and Maldon. • Red Arrows Page.
