It is not all gangsters or gloom, there is an undercurrent of humour which lifts the over all impression of the film. Cerise sur le cake la b.o. Well, there is lock, half of the stock, but not really smoking barrels... not even one Another British gangster movie from Guy Ritchie, it's an okay movie, but luckily he has shown what a good director he has become since leaving this genre. As much as I adore Tom Hardy this film unfortunately fell flat for me. Guy Richie has indeed made a few movies, I don't care if some people don't like this one, but for me, it works on many levels, I am a bloke, and I like "bloke" movies. After watching and adoring "Lock, stock and two smoking barrels" and "Snatch", I had high hopes for this film, especially considering the cast - but I was ultimately a little bit disappointed. Too many cliched scenarios to fully enjoy and immerse yourself in. Definitely enjoyable, great actors, good sountrack. Don't listen to all those 'snobbish', arty reviews-cockney stereotypes, gangsters etc etc, this is a brilliant film! One of those 'La Ronde' films, where a storyline jumps from character to character in ever decreasing circles, with added London accents, banter, mayhem, irony, double dealing and a bit of come-uppance. Ich selbst kannte ihn lange nicht, bis mich ein Freund auf ihn aufmerksam machte. ...mural at Laban Dance Studio scene with with the accountant . Le blu-ray lui-même est d’excellente qualité (import anglais) il offre l’audio en de nombreuses versions, les sous-titres en anglais, français, portugais brésilien, espagnol, et hollandais, même sur certains bonus, qui apportent encore un plus, notamment la version du film avec les commentaires de Guy Ritchie et Mark Strong (Archie) pour faire durer le plaisir. Watch anytime, anywhere. L'image est vraiment soignée, le script est brillant; il faut le voir en VO car les dialogues sont à se rouler par terre.

Good movie. guy ritchie films seem to follow a certain flow, ROCKNROLLA definitely follows that flow.

Right up front I have to tell you I am a British humor fan....Monty Python, Fawlty Towers, Little Britain, League of Gentleman and Absolutely Fabulous DVD's, just to name a few, are constantly playing in my workroom most evenings, so I am always on the look out for more of the same. Occasionally violence penetrates the jolly atmosphere but usually in a cartoonish way (the Russian/Chechen heavies in the chase scene), a possible exception being a Joe Peschi pencil job on the bouncer.
