If you like to toss your mechanical pencils in your pockets, I don't recommend the 600 then. my rotring 800 will come soon (beginning of february) but I can comment on rotring 600 vs rapid pro. Expensive drafting pencil needs to be carried inside a good pencil case.The 800 is not poorly build, infact it is build by the same company (Holbein) of the 600 in Japan.
