He/she will be introduced to the research process and will assist with basic research tasks (e.g., data entry, coding of data, etc.) This position will provide intensive, hands-on training in social science research. In Year 1, the student will work with one or more individual faculty members on various ongoing or new research projects. We shouldn’t expect them to be perfect. The student will also be involved in the preparation of reports or presentations, as applicable, to the research and/or relevant operational community.In Year 3, the goal will be for the student to conduct his/her own year-long independent research project.+ In collaboration with his/her faculty mentor/supervisor, the student will generate an original research idea, generate a written proposal, obtain HSRB approval, create all study materials, coordinate data collection, analyze the data, and submit a final written report on the project. The student will function as an entry-level research assistant in the first year. Each student and alumni has a profile in the system where they can view and apply for available posted positions.
