I guess this past weekend was brewery weekend for me. Housemade pickles and sauces elevate burgers and sandwiches with interesting flavor combinations, while old world cooking techniques bring depth to soups, stews, and meat dishes. Coffee was solid.

A nice option around the neighborhood and a fun spot.
We came to the NYE pre-party and love to see the new beers and menu items!!! The main appeal is that it's across the street from the Montrose Saloon, so it's a good place to eat before a show.The chef's sandwich was a chicken schnitzel and it was excellent. Human Kind. Menu is unique in that tax and "tip" are included. , service has always been excellent, and the food and beer is top notch. Twisted Hippo is in a space occupied by a couple of other breweries...but I do believe they've now found the winning combination! Tons of pink, hippos and greenery made plenty of instagram worthy opportunities throughout. I've had TH beers before and when I heard they'd be opening an actual location I was psyched I would be there shortly after they opened. We decided to go to the upstairs area to sit which more kids seemed to be up there. Rubber Band Guns. Great ambience too. The menu at Twisted Hippo Taproom and Eatery can best be described as American-style pub food with a multicultural twist. People here are very friendly. Black Lives Matter. Food was all reasonably priced, especially considering it includes tax and tip. I wish one or some their pale ales would be included in those but oh well. Twisted Hippo is now open in Albany Park. WRubber Band Guns. I give this place 5 stars because the staff is awesome and the environment is super clean and inviting! I would come back here often. For food I got the jalapeno corn dog, actually quite good, and not too spicy either, and I split some cheese curds, which are good as always. Super cute place.Interesting place that I had driven past many times and decided to check out. Diversity.
