Gearing up for Samoan Language Week.

This year’s theme is “Tapena sou ōso mo lau malaga” - Prepare yourself a gift for your travels. - Courage Knows No Defeat!

Naturally if your student has not been at school due to illness they cannot attend these practices.

We have many activities planned for the week and we look forward to celebrating alongside our school's Sāmoan community Talofa lava - Malo soifua. We encourage them to continue to attend school so they can make progress in their learning and achievement if they are well and able to do so.If you have concerns about your students learning in the senior school please make contact with Jason Jowett - Senior Leader of Year 11,12 and 13.All staff have been asked to update their google classrooms to ensure there is learning and resources available on here.Parent/student/conferences for Year 9 and 10 students will still run on Wednesday in the Staffroom and the Conference room as we are able to contact trace these and social distance. A2 children have been learning how to count forwards and backwards from 1-10 and 1-20 in Samoan. The theme this year is ‘Tapena sou ōso mo lau malaga' which in English means 'Prepare yourself a gift for your travels', urging us to prepare for the journey ahead. This year’s theme is “Tapena sou ōso mo lau malaga” - Prepare yourself a gift for your travels.

There will be no school for Year 9 and 10 students on this day but they must attend their appointments. Powered by Blogger. The theme provides an opportunity to reflect on preparations for different journeys. For many of us we take foods that are hard to source to where we are travelling to eg. Samoan Language Week. If we move into Level 3 lockdown we will not be issuing Chrome books to Year 9 and 10 students but will instead provide paper based resources. We would suggest they stay at home while waiting for test results to come back.Last week we had a number of staff who were tested and returned negative results. Tālofa!
