If i use the ''flamethrower'' spell at lvl 70, it doesn't do more damage!? Proceed to ''thaw out''' the other shades with your spells then spam attack Malkoran with Lightning Bolt and let your companion aggro him. Wait what? Yeah, that ice spell is a killer. That ice storm spell used by many necromancer deal a lot of damage to me, I am playing on adept difficultly but that spell just destroy me, most enemies take away half of my hp by using this spell (I have more than 300 hp), for some bosses who use this spell can one shot me. Do NPCs have a chance to crit you with weapons/spells? Yeah, that ice spell is a killer.
I just did this quest again, what helped me a lot was the Ice Form shout to freeze him and two of his shades, then kill the other two shades with your companion. My Breton warrior doesn't have any problems dealing the the Ice Spike machine gun. I don't mind it (it's a challenge), other than making me wish that the spells my character can use are as powerful. but this spell ♥♥♥♥ing kills me instantly.

Ice Form is a dragon shout in The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim. Unrelenting Force + dual wield mage to the face = dead mage and no ice lances. Whilst the ice storm spell does more damage per second than the Ice Spike spell and does a larger portion of Stamina damage, The Ice Spike spell has about double the Magicka/damage efficiency of Ice Storm; however, since the ice storm is capable of damaging several opponents who are standing close together or in a row, Ice Storm is the superior choice over Ice Spike, unless the targets are beyond the range of Ice Storm.

disabling instant death kills by enemies? i think that if the player is blocking or bashing than no enemy should be able to do an instant death maneuver on him. It allows the Dragonborn to shout a powerful freezing force in front of them.
You have to get lucky that you can get close enough and kill him quick enough that he just doesn't have a chance to get it off.
tho I don't like that u can only do one shout then have to wait the cool down even when u switch to a different shout.
