13 Jun 20. it strikes me as an underexplored fact within democratic theory and political science that the four most significant European models for thinking about democracy - Athens, Rome, England, and the USA - were expansionist empires. Prof Klein was very nice and passionate, but he made this course way too difficult for an intro-level class.
