The chianti was delightful.Best service we had in a while. We buy local whenever it is possible. The food was excellent. I can't wait to come back!I’ve always been a fan of Sotto. The apple strudel was really lovely although perhaps a tablespoon more ice cream since the filling was really hot and needed the ice cream to be able to eat it.
Looking forward to our next visit.Fabulous, as always! We used to try different places, but once we experienced SS, were were hooked. The food was good but there was barely any room on the table for the dishes and wine glasses, and since two of the group ordered things that required an extra dish for shells, it was pretty much a nightmare. Sotto Sopra Restaurant is excited to continue their Peabody Nights where our performers are students of the Peabody Institute at the Johns Hopkins University … Ate inside, very nice!We wanted to support one of our favorites so we decided to eat indoors and after 3 months with shelter in place we felt normal ! Also both delicious.
I had the lobster bisque and boyfriend had the flatbread as an appetizer. While dining, several people walking/driving by interrupted us to ask for change, bus stop info, and directions.
Had a wonderful experience and meal!We had a fantastic visit for Valentine’s Day. The food was good, but I think that for the money we paid, we should have had a better experience.
Will definitely be heading back there. We buy local whenever it is possible.

My mother was born and raised in Italy so I avoid Italian restaurants because they never compare - this place is exquisite - moms home cooked meal but better (sorry mom). Just go!!
The ambiance was very nice, however, i think more could be done with the outdoor decor to make it feel more intimate.
Perhaps a little more zucchini in the vegetable but understand that it isn't really the time of year for it. The server was friendly and attentive and accommodated our every need. !I hadn't been here in 10 years and I wasn't sure if it would be as good as last time -- but it exceeded my expectations! The ambience was lovely. Sotto Sopra specializes in true contemporary Italian cuisine adapting farm to table. Monica Bellucci. I have been there for their Opera night and now their Jazz Wednesday. The food is always superb, the service is efficient, friendly, and accomodating, and the setting is terrific.I'm from Italy and this is one of the very few Italian places I have been to in Baltimore where the food is truly authentic.
They have a few antipasti dishes, a few pasta options and both vegetarian and meat pizzas to choose from. The burrata appetizer was SO good and the squid ink pasta with shrimp was TO DIE for.
Amazing service, Derek was the best server we’ve ever had. Bar/Lounge, Beer, Entertainment, Full Bar, Non-Smoking, Outdoor dining, Takeout, Wheelchair Access, WineSotto Sopra is an Italian restaurant housed in a beautiful 19th century building just blocks north of Baltimore’s Harborplace on Charles Street. I eventually went with the Charcuterie Board for an appetizer and Fettuccine Alfredo with Fresh Bacon Bits- It was all amazing.
Perhaps the restaurant could put up planters or some other temporary dividers to give diners a more private experience with outdoor dining.
Ate inside, very nice!We wanted to support one of our favorites so we decided to eat indoors and after 3 months with shelter in place we felt normal ! I would def come back.Fantastic food, wonderful staff. My daughter ordered the mushroom filled chicken with potato; she would have preferred that the chicken skin had been rendered more and that it was more crispy but understood the sauce may have posed a challenge to that.
