Very tasty! you will...Out on a drive with relatives while vacationing in Iowa and decided to try this place. Our server, Kara, was very personable and helpful. A sweet gal asked if we wanted drinks before we even made it to the bar. Wonderful atmosphere and delicious food at reasonable prices. It was more food than the four of us could eat...We visited for lunch on a Friday and were very impressed.

We charcoal grill our pork ribs and then slow cook them for hours until the meat is ready to fall off the bone.

What a pleasant surprise. They also have a variety of yummy sauces to try.

Superb food is available for every taste.

The only downside is it comes with a shot of baileys for dipping marshmallows and there isn't a nonalcoholic option or chocolate sauce option.

This place is a distant drive from Cedar Rapids / Marion, but a worthwhile trip...We were looking for somewhere new to try today and while researching, we came across a hidden gem in Stone City, IA (Anamosa, IA address). Sunday, August 16, 2020 Sat 11am to 10 pm.
And if you happen to go on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant has open mic from 4:00 until 7:00 PM. Never been to a restaurant with more atmosphere and character. Well worth the drive from Cedar Rapids/Marion area. Not the least bit greasy and the sauce was to die for.

Stone City is known for its Anamosa Limestone quarries, historic limestone architecture, and 1930's art colony. What a great place to grab some food and enjoy the history of the area.I've been here many times.

The Tadburger and the TwoMinuteMan were some of the best sandwiches we’ve had in a long time.

But trust me the food is worth it! Salads are small but great. Only complaint would be signage outside. Dining on the main level and cool bar in the basement.

Only a 50-minute drive from Dubuque, the General Store in Stone City offers a unique experience, combining good pub food, lengthy beer list, and good cocktails, an idyllic setting, and the opportunity to eat in a building featured in Grant Wood’s Stone City, Iowa painting.

I always loved the option of substituting your side for almost any appetizer on the menu as well.

After driving just a few minutes my buddy said we should have just grabbed a burger.
