I'm considering Spirited Away or Kiki's Delivery Service I just watched Kiki's Delivery Service and I thought it was really good.

But anyway it's perfect kinda feel good but also not it deals with light hearted stuff but some serious issues, It is a love story at it's core but all about weather. There's a lot of good shows and films out there that are great but it's hard to recommend without knowing your taste. Rwby is a good one, not sexualised in any way obvious and has quite a good story. If you liked Kiki's, you will LOVE Spirited Away. Only anime I was able to finish was Death Note.

So what I want to mention are some which are not dark at all (if at all, then only scratching the topics): One Punch Man should be the first anime anyone watches. Reminder that I don't even like some of these titles but they are perfect gateways. Princess Mononoke is my favorite and I highly recommend it. My friends love Dragon ball z and Pokemon too I'd say the Sword Art Online movie or the original Ghost in the Shell movie; they have some dark elements, but both are very good. Better?) Spirited away is one of my favorites that should be something you should consider watching soon too :) and howls moving castle is great too It's definitely anime.

I know kinda cliche but it's good. and still staying pretty damn close to the original subject matter and dialog.

However if you are set on watching a movie, I would recommend one of those that you named: Spirited Away. Also psychopass, Deadman wonderland, Baki, and claymore for a darker or more psychological styles. So I need opinions?
