It works with existing brake controllers, but WiTi are currently working on developing their own.Just fitted this to my Landcruiser 200 & caravan, always had brake controller problems  due to the heavy trailer lead not allowing good contact at the 12 pin plug, with this unit i have constant brake control and very precise adjustment and also comes with an anti-theft feature built in. It pretty much fired up straight away after turning the power on. WiTi is more than a deterrent it is the only anti-theft system that totally immobilises a caravan or trailer.
