Friday May 7th Vaski, Bogtrotter and Smilodon at the Loft. The event space features a unique modern style with all paths leading to the dance floor.Went here two weekends ago! Had a great time! It is one of the smaller music venues in the skyway theatre complex but it wasn't overly crowded. It's a pretty small venue, more for dancing and standing around drinking. Instead, the crowd was pretty chill and having fun, the drinks were reasonably priced and strong, and the DJ was playing a more sophisticated mix, and the bartenders were smiling and having fun. Shallow denial of sexuality thinly veiled by drunkenness has caused me to take up the rear with just about any guy I set my sights on in this joint.Not a bad setting just not very many people at all nice music and light show but it was smaller than my high school homecoming.I give it a 1 star cuz I can't give it 0. They have specials in Tuesdays And Thursdays and this usually draws a bigger crowd than weekends.Went there with my South Dakota friend and 2 of his little league coaches who were under 21 at the time, we had went to a Friday night Twins game and went to Barfly so the younger guys could experience a club in Minneapolis. Can't believe the disrespect. When she finally did come around to our table (15 mins later) she was rude and short. We got in on a guest list of a friend, and since I am older than the average clubber I thought I may be in for a night of annoying music and underage kids.
