It is close to Halloween 1989 and Jamie (the heroine of H4) is in Haddonfield's Children's Hospital after attacking her step-mother the previous year. However, Meeker and most of his men are called away when they find Michael has broken into the clinic and killed Nurse Patsie and Dr. Max Hart, leaving Trooper Charlie Bloch in charge to help Loomis. Then we get Mikey chasing after victim fodder for no reason when he knows where Jamie is at. He was always a stalker, first and foremost...and 5 captures that aspect of the character more vividly than any other film in the series after the first. Sheriff Ben Meeker, the lynch mob of Haddonfield's truckers, and state police toss down dynamite to finish him off. His plan is to lure Jamie out of the hospital by going after Tina (who is going to a Halloween party) and by murdering Rachel. He illustrated these feelings with a scene where Michael removes his mask and sheds a tear. I just happened to notice the response, or I would have replied sooner.

And who is she replaced by? On October 31, 1988, Michael Myers is shot and falls down a Jamie has been admitted to a children's hospital, having been rendered Later that night, Tina and her friends Sam and Spitz go to a Halloween party at a farm. The stylistic approach to part 5 is acceptable despite the filming clearly taking place in summertime. God, I fucking hate the Rob Zombie movies! She hasn't said a word since the attack but to her horror discovers that she has a mind-link to her murdering uncle, Michael who has spent the year recovering from his wounds in a coma and awakes to go after Jamie again.

There, Loomis creates a set-up with the police. He returns and continues to hunt down Jamie Lloyd, Who is now mute and shares a Telepathic Connection to Her Sadistic Uncle. Plot Summary: Michael Myers is at it again...and, no, "they're" definitely NOT ready and neither was this script.
The hillbillies have nothing on annoying Tina, the stupid hermit plot line, the cops with clown music, Rachel dying, retconning part 4's ending, etc.

Young Jamie, who has lost her ability to speak since attacking her foster mother, has developed a telepathic link with her demonic uncle. Then Mikey just lives with an old guy in the woods for a year? But you need to have good ideas for that to work. As much as I hate the Rob Zombie entries with a burning rage, this might actually be the single most retarded moment of the entire franchise! The ending is cool, and the man in black mystery was interesting as well.

Based on 24 reviews, it currently has a 13% 'Rotten' score on At the US box office the film took in $11.6 million on a budget of $5–6 million, making it the poorest performing film in the series to date. There is a lot to hate in this entry. Tina...a Jar Jar-type character that the audience will be praying to see dead. Michael survives the shootings and on October 31st he returns with a vengeance. Uh, why didn't this guy get help?

Doesn't mean that part 5 didn't do some things better--the mask, for example, is better--but part 4 is just a better all around sequel. But unbeknownst to them, a stranger has come to Haddonfield, and he is a key factor in the outcome of the madness that has plagued Haddonfield on Halloween for over ten years!

I can overlook the rushed production, but it's hard to forgive the destruction of part 4's momentum. After being institutionalized for 15 years, Myers breaks out on the night before Halloween. Michael survives the shootings and on October 31st he returns with a vengeance.
Police are called to 43 Lampkin Ln. I do still watch part 5 sometimes, but it didn't come close to living up to part 4.
